From beach days to hikes to live music and special events, there really is something for everyone. Of course, that is Lake Tahoe all year round. In fact, one stay in any of our vacation rentals in South Lake Tahoe will confirm that you can be on a trail or a ski run or the sand or gambling in about 10 minutes no matter where you are coming from. So where to go to catch the fireworks on one of the busiest holiday weeks at Lake Tahoe? Check out these local favorite spots.
Want to be on the water? You have options! In fact, being on the water for the fireworks show is a popular choice. People usually make it an all day event in the hopes they can find a good spot early. If you don’t have your own boat, their are usually cruises out of Zephyr Cove OR you can rent a boat from Ski Run or Camp Rich. The variety in locations to choose from make it convenient regardless of where your vacation rental in South Lake Tahoe is located.
Prefer to be on the sand? There are beaches galore, all within close proximity to a majority of our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals. Nevada beach is a local hot spot as is Reagan Beach. These two locations allow you also see the Incline Village fireworks. There are several folks who prefer to spend the day down at Kiva and Pope and get a view from a further vantage point. Truth be told, any beach on the South Shore is a great spot to watch the fireworks. Word to the wise? Get your spot early. Otherwise parking and even a spot on the beach can be tough to find.
Want to watch it from a restaurant deck? Edgewood Tahoe, Riva Grill, Jimmy’s at the Landing and other lake front or lakeside restaurants usually have some type of event for people to attend including food, drink, live music and a front row spot to the firework show. The variety in restaurant locations that partake in these holiday festivities give the guests at our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals options to choose from that also happen to be close by.
If you are attending the festivities on any other mode of transportation aside from bike or foot, be forewarned that post firework traffic will remind you of a city freeway at 5:00pm. The mass exodus can take a good hour or two to get home depending on where you decided to go and where your vacation rental in South Lake Tahoe is located.
