Nels Hardware is a great “in town” South Lake Tahoe hardware store
that carrries just about everything you can think of and then some. They also feature a locals favorite garden supply with a mind boggling selection of shrubs, flats and perrenials. Nels also has about the only tool rental outfit left at Lake Tahoe. If you need it you can probably find it at Nels.

There’s an old saying in South Lake Tahoe…”If you need it you can find it at Scotty’s Hardware” That statement I have found to be so true over the years. Things that I cannot even find at Lowe’s or The Home Depot Scotty’s will carry from outdated items to the most esoteric item for an antique lamp…Scotty’s probably has it! They will also order you anything you could possibly need on Tuesday and it shows up on Thursday…better than the Internet and the best part of the whole package is the guys and gals at Scotty’s know almost everything about everything! Check them out when staying at one of our Lake Tahoe vacation rentals or if you are a Lake Tahoe homeowner you now know where to go for just about anything to do with hardware, snow blower repair, plumbing supplies and electrical items.
