The Beach Hut Deli is new to South Lake Tahoe but already it is a major league hit! This author has already dined there three times and have sampled a different sandwich from their extensive menu each visit. The food is fresh and delicious if not a bargain ($7.00-$10.00 per sandwich). The atmosphere is great and you truly feel that you are in Hawaii, Santa Cruz or Australia getting ready to “Hang Ten” or just loaf in the sand! Try The Beach Hut Deli the next time you are visiting South Lake Tahoe or if you are a local make it a point to give these local owners a try. Brook and Chris Hernandez are long time locals and know how to treat the “natives”!
Lake Tahoe’s Best Burger Joint-The Snowflake Drive-In
The Snowflake Drive-in is one of South Lake Tahoe’s best burger joints. Snowflake was established over 40 years ago! They have been voted as Tahoe’s best milkshakes many times now. I suggest, now this might sound crazy, but a Chocolate chip Pepsi freeze! It is very tasty, chocolate chip ice- cream blended with some Pepsi! Very good. They also have great burgers, very unique burgers. Their Ice cream is very good as well! My brother recommends the butterfinger shake, yes a butterfinger shake! They have a great location, right down the highway from the lake. About 10 minutes from the Stateline Casinos. * Snowflake is in California* If you happen to stop by Pinnacle Real Estate and Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals you can go to this awesome burger joint! The prices are good… but worth it for the food!!! If it is a nice day you can sit outside or if you want some air-conditioning you can go inside, I prefer the great outdoors! The owners, Duncan and Lisa, are very kind. Lisa also works for Pinnacle. They welcome anyone to come on in and get a burger and a milkshake.
